Kanpachi (Seriola dumerili) is also known as the Greater Amberjack and is a completely different species than Hamachi (Seriola quinqueradiata), which is also an Amberjack or Yellow Tail. Our Fresh Kanpachi is sustainably farmed in Panama and is the ultimate sashimi-grade product because of its firm, yet delicate, texture and buttery flavor.
